ESG & Responsibility

Sustainability

Responsible energy development is foundational to how we operate. We focus on measurable progress in environmental performance, safety, and community relationships.

Our Commitment

At Trad-Energy, sustainability is not a separate initiative — it is embedded in capital allocation, operational planning, and day-to-day decision making. We believe that strong environmental and social performance supports long-term value creation.

Environment

Reducing emissions intensity, managing water responsibly, and systematically addressing asset retirement obligations.

Safety & People

A safety-first culture, continuous training, and respect for the well-being of employees, contractors, and communities.

Community

Constructive engagement with local stakeholders, Indigenous communities, and transparent communication of our activities.

Priority Focus Areas

Emissions Management

We track and report greenhouse gas intensity and pursue practical opportunities to reduce emissions through facility optimization, vent gas capture, and efficient wellsite design. Our goal is continuous improvement in intensity metrics relative to production.

Progress is reviewed regularly by leadership and reported annually in our sustainability disclosure.

Asset Retirement

Trad-Energy maintains a proactive abandonment and reclamation program. We prioritize inactive wells and facilities, aiming to steadily reduce our decommissioning liability over time while meeting all regulatory requirements.

This disciplined approach protects the balance sheet and demonstrates responsible stewardship of the land.

Water & Land

Where waterflood operations are employed, we carefully manage source water and produced water handling. Surface disturbance is minimized through multi-well pads and existing infrastructure where practical.

Reclamation is planned from the outset of development activities.

Health & Safety

Safety is non-negotiable. We maintain robust management systems, require contractor alignment with our standards, and foster a culture where every individual is empowered to stop work if conditions are unsafe.

Leading and lagging indicators are monitored and shared across the organization.
